The Stage Is Set: Angels and Red Sox to Battle for the 10U Championship
The road to the 10U Championship has reached its final destination.
After a thrilling week of playoff baseball, the two top seeds have advanced through the bracket and will square off for the title as the Christ Lutheran Church Angels take on the DH Funk Red Sox in the championship game on Friday night.
The postseason began with a pair of opening-round matchups that saw the Lions Club Yankees defeat the Designs Unlimited Astros 14–4, while the DDMP Rays earned a convincing 10–4 win over the Joyland Roofing Orioles. Those victories set up two highly anticipated semifinal contests featuring the regular season's top teams.
Angels Continue Perfect Season
The No. 1-seeded Angels entered the playoffs with a flawless 12–0 record and showed no signs of slowing down in the semifinals.
Facing a determined Rays squad that had built momentum with its opening-round win, the Angels delivered another dominant performance, rolling to a 14–3 victory. Their balanced offense and steady defense once again proved why they have been the team to beat all season long.
With the win, the Angels improved to 13–0 overall and moved one step closer to completing a perfect championship campaign.
Red Sox Earn Their Shot
The second semifinal featured two of the league's most competitive teams as the DH Funk Red Sox met the Lions Club Yankees.
The Yankees entered the game riding high after their impressive first-round victory, but the Red Sox were ready for the challenge. Behind a strong all-around effort, the Red Sox secured a 6–2 win, ending the Yankees' postseason run and punching their ticket to the championship game.
After finishing the regular season at 8–3–1 and earning the No. 2 seed, the Red Sox have continued to show the consistency and resilience that made them one of the league's top contenders from Opening Day.
